Thanks for the news, Dave. I keep talking about aquaponics to Kathy and Terry. By the time we actually have a structure to live in, I should have them convinced.

I think there's some great ideas there... i saw something a while back, might have been in Mother Earth News, about a guy who had a 55 gal drum setup with catfish. Fed them worms from a vermicomposting arrangement he had going. Seemed like a neat idea in theory, although given my track record with vermicomposting those fish might get hungry..

I also think that indoor, energy-intensive setups are probably not a cure-all. but it does seem like an interesting option as opposed to flying basil in from wherever.
