Congrats CJ, it never gets old. I brought a ram in in late October this year, so no lambs yet. Soon though.

I think I tried to stagger the lambing so the next 2 ewes might not be ready for another month. It looks like I forgot to document my efforts though

Wow, that is cool! Pretty little thing, but probably not so good to have around the chickens.

I looked at some of your other pictures today CJ. It's so cool to see your farm, we have very similar things going on. I really enjoyed looking at what you are up to there. Forgive me if you have told us already, but are those Belted Galloways?

Mini Belted Galloways. Probably 750 lbs live weight - 250 lbs back from the butcher. I wouldn't attempt to milk mine without a headlock.

It's true we have similar things going on. I don't know about you but I feel like I have sooo many more things to try!

Oh, heck yes. I've got enough ideas and projects for two lifetimes so far.

I wound up with 4 lambs, all boys.

I'm making a huge effort to do a paddock shift system this year and have added an extra paddock and hope to put 2 more in over the coming weeks. I can't do it till Dennis drops some trees though. As part of the paddock shift I've built a mobile coop that will fit through my gates. It's based on but I didn't drill all the holes because I doubt I'll be re-using the sticks.

Here's the frame (the cart is temporary support):

And here it is finished:

I used left over scraps from our flooring for a cherry nesting box:

I moved about 8 chickens in yesterday and will keep them in one more day before letting them out. I've clipped their wings so hopefully they will stay put & not get into my newly seeded paddocks.
