Some randomness that I've been enjoying... All very different styles. :)

Fun mash-up. I love how versatile he is. Blues, pop, R&B, rap: Ed Sheeran can handle it. Super fun and talented kid. And DAMN do I feel old calling him a kid. (Where did the years go??) :?

Holy shit, this site is disappearing into the ether. Hopefully winter will bring some fresh blood... or give Matt time to recruit. :D

Been really digging these guys lately. I'm surprised they're not more famous. They're from Iceland, but moved to Texas to try to make it with their music. They are fantastic. From falsetto, pretty stuff to dirty, old-school rock 'n roll... JJ has a fantastic vocal range, and their music is great. I'll toss a few songs your way. :) SUPER worth a listen! :) If you've never heard them before, his voice will probably be a fun surprise. :) ("I did not expect that voice to come out of his mouth!" is the comment I most frequently hear when sharing their stuff.) :) Their name does not rhyme with Paleo, the diet. It is pronounced kuh-LAY-oh. :) Just pointless FYI.

Hope everyone is well!!

Softer stuff:

Harder stuff:

More old school rock 'n roll:

No recruiting from me. Just being a little dead spot in the internet is perfect as far as I'm concerned. My favorite IRL too! Nice to hear from you A, hope you are reaching your goals, or reaching for them anyway.

I certainly hope you don't really want to be a little dead spot IRL. (cue me looking disturbed)

On the goal front... I feel exhausted even contemplating what I could say in response to that. Thanks for the good thoughts. I'm trying. I'm also, several years too late, taking your advice to heart. Better late than never? Your words echo in my head when I find myself clinging to the same old bullshit. I can see them with a mocking eyebrow raised, and a silent "I told you so" on their lips whenever I start getting in my own way. Several stupid (but well-meaning) decisions have set me back, and now that I'm finally feeling like shit is falling into place, I'm having sudden mystery medical issues, racking up bills for a condition that the doctors can't figure out. So I'm frustrated as hell, and just want to flip double birds to the universe. I'm trying to stay positive and persevere, but some days it takes me longer to get back up when the universe Nancy Kerrigans me. So thanks for the advice/slap upside the head, though it was years ago. It's been a good kick in the ass when I needed one, and your frustration with my standstill stands out in memory as a time when someone actually gave a shit, so... *thumbs up*

Do you know Geographer? Mike makes music I feel is beautiful and unique. Here's a single video. Some dude once told me I shouldn't post multiple videos if I actually wanted people to watch them. I don't always take advice that I should... But that doesn't mean it doesn't stick with me. :)

I like the multiple videos, but I do take my time to get to them. I haven't heard of this Mike, thank you for the heads up.

Goaling is hard. It doesn't matter if you get anywhere A, so no need to be frustrated. Just that you try again.

I believe you A. Learn how to take care of yourself and let those old bloodletting barbarians retire. Don't let them fuck you up with their pharm please.

Oh, man. It SO DOES matter if I get somewhere. At least with this one, single goal. Journeys are good. But I'm not enjoying the scenery on this one. I've been battling this fucking riptide for way too long to let it drag me out and take me under. This goal needs to be reached. This is not one I'm content to ride until I die, never having reached it.

A friend of mine went back to the doctor over and over, for two straight years, before he finally got a doctor who had a clue, and turns out he had bladder cancer. And for so long, it almost took him out. He's on the mend now though. Just had to land that ONE doctor in a sea of morons to look at him and go, "Oh, those are your symptoms? Here's the answer."

I've been taking care of myself my whole life. I haven't been to a doctor in over 20 years. So the fact that this is coming now, when I'm just getting my shit together, is enough to just fucking knock the wind right out of my sails. Shit like this is why people turn to religion. To believe that there's a reason for everything, or that the shit we're thrown is a test. Not being a child of God myself, this just makes me want to scream. Life isn't fair, I realize, but come the fuck on. Can I get a break here? Something, anything?

I have no plans to become a medical guinea pig. I just need to find out what's causing my issues. I see a specialist on Wednesday, and if they don't have answers, my doctor plans to send me up the chain to neurology. Oh, goody.

Annnnnd, so as to not completely disrail the music train... Do you know Jaymes? He hails out of Seattle. I really dig him. I've been listening to a lot of his stuff lately. This is his only popular song. But I feel like I'm having this conversation with the universe lately, so this song has been in my head pretty steadily... "Let me be okay, I swear I'll be good and get my shit together..."

Also, just passed the anniversary of my best friend's flight from the material plane, and am feeling alone and emotional, so music that punches you right in the feels is at the top of the list as well.

I adore Troye. His music is a little too "twink pop" for most of the people I know, but I just want to scoop him up and squish him. I love this song.
