Oh, your base is probably toast as well. Time to get that bottom piece of wood out of there before it catches fire. Don't ask me how I know that!

Thanks Matt! Phew, that's a relief. I really didn't want to have to re-pour.
Mannys build is looking sweet. We've been studying his pictures pretty intensely to see what if there are any ideas we need to copy :D
His new barrel is great looking. Did he buy it with the stainless look? It looks really "clean".
Next week we begin the build here at our NH homestead. We're only going to build it about halfway because there are some permaculture folks that want to see what this "rocket mass heater" stuff is all about. So we'll probably build everything except for totally burying the exhaust tubes. Kinda like what Manny has right now at this point of his build.

Ohhhhhhh, good call Matt. I lucked out. I just read your email and went out and moved the chamber (can you say heavy?) and sure enough the bottom was looking like toast! I'm lucky it didn't catch fire and burn down my shed. YIKES! Dodged a bullet there :shock:
