"A Pattern Language" by Christopher Alexander, Sara Ishikawa, Murray Silverstein, and others.

My neighbor and our newest member (I think) Woods-Rambler introduced me to this book. He had told me about it a while ago, but brought it over and loaned it to me a couple weeks ago now. It has been constantly open and being referred to as I continue to plan my RMH, my garden, my forest garden, my paths, my greenhouse, and generally my Permstead. I cannot even begin to describe it or it's influence. I will simply encourage all readers here to get a copy if you don't have one already. I sorta feel like I'm probably the last one to hear of it, but if anyone here is unfamiliar with it, go get it.
